Why it is shaped like this
An account is a promise that someone keeps the lights on for it — a server, a database, a password reset, all of it running for years just so you can prove you paid once. We would rather make a smaller promise and keep it.
Your licence is a file. It works offline, it survives this website being down, and it does not try to manage you — it simply carries your name, quietly, and keeps the demo mode from being the whole story.
