How it actually works
The mechanics
When you buy, checkout mints a licence file signed for your name and email, and mails it to you. Omen verifies that signature on your machine. Nothing checks in with a server — not at install, not at startup, not once a month.
That is a deliberate trade. An activation server is a promise to keep running a server for you until one of us is gone. A file is a promise we can actually keep: the plugin you install today works offline, on a machine that never sees the internet, for as long as the machine runs.
The demo needs nothing either — it is the full plugin, waiting for a licence. Trying Omen and owning Omen are the same install.

Asked, answered
Is this a subscription?
No. One payment buys a perpetual licence. There is no recurring billing, and nothing runs that a lapsed card could switch off.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no login, no registration, no user database. Checkout mails you a licence file — the file is the licence.
How does Omen know I paid?
Your licence file is signed, and Omen verifies it on your machine — offline. No activation server, no phone-home, no periodic re-check. The plugin behaves identically on a laptop that never sees the internet.
What if I lose the licence file?
Enter the email you bought with into the recovery form and it is sent again. That is the entire account system.
How many computers can I use it on?
The seat policy is published with the final EULA, before the store opens. Whatever number we land on, enforcing it will not involve an activation server or a de-authorising dance.
Why does the licence carry my name?
It carries the buyer's name and email, and the interface shows it quietly. That makes a shared file a visibly shared file — without ever getting in the way of the person who paid.
What is the demo missing?
The demo is the full plugin in demo mode — not a cut-down second build. Exactly what demo mode restricts is announced with the first public build, because that is when it is decided.
Refunds and VAT?
Checkout is run by a merchant of record who is the seller on your invoice: they collect your country's VAT and handle refunds under their buyer terms. Write to us for anything they cannot fix.
What about upgrades?
The upgrade policy is published before the store opens. It will not be a subscription wearing a different hat.
